- Encyclopaedia Britannica offers online resources for schools
Eighteen
states have partnered with Encyclopaedia Britannica to offer digital
content for schools. Now the Arkansas Department of Education has signed
an agreement expanding that program by providing more resources through
Pathways: Science. The announcement follows a decision earlier this
year by the encyclopedia publisher to cease its print edition. Education Week/Digital Education blog

With the focus on information literacy across the content areas, here is some great news schools might want to follow up. Maine has a free virtual library created around on-line Britannica and we have seen some great results. Courtesy of ASCD Smartbrief.
